Boeing 737 Classic . .................................Specifications
This aircraft, D-ABED of Lufthansa, was first flown on the 25th of June 1991 and delivered on the 12th of July 1991. Lufthansa has been instrumental in the design and development of the 737, the orginal order for the 737 series 100 being, together with United Airlines, launch order for the type. This aircraft is seen as she appeared at Amsterdam Schipol airport on the 8th of June 2006. She is resplendent in her "football nose" livery, an addition made on many Lufthansa aircraft, to commemorate Germany's staging of the Football World Cup finals in 2006. Fittingly enough the registration "D-ABED" was once carried by a 737-100 of Lufthansa until 1982. The Registration was then taken up for this aircraft 10 years later. This aircraft was in 2015 still current with the airline.
The Boeing 737 "Classic" was originally conceived as a 737-200 stretch version with advanced CFM 56 powerplants. The series 300 resembles the 200 in overall length however and represents a "new generation" of aircraft compared to it's predicessor.
This 737 series 400, customer series number 436, of British Airways shows off the rather beautiful livery "World Tails", adopted during the first decade of the new millenium. This aircraft G-DOCF "Poland", depicts Koguty Lowickie, "Cockerels, peacocks and flowers" art work . She is shown here as she appeared at Manchester International airport in December 2004. She is still current with BA although she later slipped back into the standard BA livery.
The 737 series 500 is the shortest version of the 737 Classic model. This aircraft LV-BAR, was delivered to Aerolineas Argentinas on lease from MAS in 2005 after having previously flown for Air France also on lease. The very much shorter fuselage is here very much apparant when compared to the model 400. She is seen as she appeared at Buenos Aires Aeropargue Jorge Newbery on the 28th of June 2010. This aircraft currently flies with Bahamasair as C6-BFE, leased from GECAS from the 26th of March 2012 onwards.
This 737-300, customer series 3H4. Was delivered to Southwest in a lease arrangement on the 19th of April 1995. The winglets were fitted in 2007. This aircraft is still current (2015) with the airline.
